Why add a hydrophilic agent? This is because fibers or nonwovens are polymers, and the hydrophilic groups themselves have few or no hydrophilic groups, which cannot achieve the hydrophilicity required for nonwoven applications. Therefore, a hydrophilic agent is added to increase its hydrophilic group.
The hydrophilic non-woven fabric is made of ordinary polypropylene spunbond non-woven fabric, which has good hydrophilicity and air permeability after hydrophilic treatment.
Hydrophilic non-woven fabrics are mainly used on the surface of sanitary products such as diapers, paper diapers, sanitary napkins, etc., which can penetrate quickly and keep dry and comfortable. 1. Baby diaper: The upper and lower surfaces of the baby diaper absorption layer are made of hydrophilic non-woven fabrics, which not only makes the diaper surface soft as cloth, but also has a good water absorption effect.
2. Adult diapers: The role of hydrophilic non-woven fabrics in adult diapers is basically the same as that of infants. In contrast, the manufacturing requirements for hydrophilic nonwovens in adult diapers are lower than those for infants.
3. Mask: In order to obtain better quality of the mask, a layer of hydrophilic non-woven fabric will be built on the inner layer of the mask to absorb the water vapor exhaled from the mouth. The more intuitive effect is that in winter, we often see that some friends who wear glasses will form a layer of white water vapor on the glasses when they wear masks, which has a great impact on their vision. This is because there is no hydrophilic non-woven fabric in the mask.
4. Pet urine pad: generally used to prevent pets from defecation everywhere. Urine pads placed in pet resting places are also made of hydrophilic non-woven fabrics. This kind of hydrophilic non-woven fabric is relatively simple to manufacture and has a low standard, mainly highlighting its hydrophilic function.
