Mask non-woven fabrics are the raw materials used to make masks. Since masks are very important for both medical personnel and ordinary people, the quality must meet the standards, otherwise there will be big problems. What are the test indicators for textiles? Let's take a look.
1. Filtration efficiency
Filtration efficiency is a key indicator for mask quality evaluation. This is also one of the important quality standards for non-woven fabrics, so referring to relevant standards, it is recommended that the bacterial filtration efficiency of non-woven masks for masks is not less than 95%, and the particle filtration efficiency of non-oily particles is not less than 30%.
2. Respiratory resistance
Respiratory system resistance has an impact on improving the size of people who can wear masks and hinder our breathing. Therefore, we need a mask non-woven enterprise to analyze the factors affecting the resistance of the respiratory system. The research determines the breathing comfort when wearing a mask. During this activity, the recommended indicators of mask non-woven fabrics are that the inspiratory resistance should be ≤ 350Pa and the expiratory resistance should be ≤ 250Pa.
3. Health indicators
Health index is another key indicator of non-woven fabrics. Recommended test items include initial contaminated bacteria, total bacterial count, coliform bacteria, pathogenic purulent bacteria, total fungi, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and ethylene oxide residues amount, etc.
4. Toxicology test
Skin irritation tests are primarily protective tests, taking into account people allergic to some materials. The non-woven skin irritation test is mainly performed by cross-section, cutting the appropriate area of the sample, soaking in saline and attaching to the skin, and then covering it with a patch sticker for detection.
