Oil-absorbing felt is one of the important equipment for handling oil spills. In the emergency treatment of oil spills on the water surface, the general method is to first recover most of the oil spilled by mechanical devices, and then use an oil-absorbing felt to absorb and capture a small amount of residual oil spilled on the water surface. Oil-absorbing felt is often used to remove oil spills in places where mechanical devices cannot reach and in waters where oil spill dispersants cannot be used due to sensitivity to secondary pollution.
Felt is made of natural wool, machined and bonded using the wool's milled properties. Felt has good flexibility and can reach the specified length and can be used for leather dynamic belts and papermaking suction belts. Felt has good heat retention and can be made into felt insoles of specifications.
The production process of oil-absorbing industrial felt:
1. Take an appropriate amount of wool, fold the wool in half, and gently roll it up to form a fluffy cylinder.
2. Overlap the two ends of the fluffy cylinder inwards, place it on the work pad, and lightly poke to fix it.
3. Poke while rolling, being careful not to prick your hands.
4. During the felting process, it is necessary to keep rolling to avoid deformation of the ball.
5. By the time you feel resistance during the jab, the hairball is already semi-felted. At this time, the wool ball can be repaired, including depression, expansion, etc.
6. After the repair is completed, the felting can be continued until the hair ball is firm.

The oil-absorbing felt is not made of warp woven, so it has good filterability and can be used for oil absorption. Most of the bottom of the oil drum of the ship is made of felt to keep the ship clean. After flocking and bonding, it can be used separately according to the size of the density and the different specifications. It has better thermal insulation performance and can be used as thermal insulation material. Good bonding performance, not easy to loosen, and can be punched into parts of various shapes.
