Agricultural non-woven fabrics are a new type of basic material that are widely used in the agricultural field and are constantly being developed. It can be used for various types of fruit bagging, seedling packaging materials, etc. It can be explored and applied in all aspects of agriculture based on the basic characteristics of non-woven fabrics. It should be noted that the yield-increasing effect of non-woven fabrics can only be exerted under the premise of supporting technical support. Appropriate specifications and appropriate application methods must be selected according to different regional climate characteristics, different crops and different cultivation methods.

Agricultural non-woven fabrics are generally made of polypropylene filament fibers by hot pressing. It has good breathability, heat preservation, moisturizing and certain light transmittance. Depending on its thickness, mesh size, color and other specifications, it can be used as thermal insulation and moisturizing covering materials, sunshade materials, isolation base materials, packaging materials, etc.

There are roughly three ways to use agricultural non-woven fabrics as thermal insulation and moisturizing covering materials. One is to use 30-35g/m2 non-woven fabric instead of plastic film as the shed covering material.

1. Agricultural non-woven fabrics are used for raising seedlings in early spring or autumn. The advantage is that they save labor and effort. There is no need to uncover the cloth to let the wind out. Watering can be sprinkled directly on the cloth surface, and the temperature in the shed changes smoothly. The cultivated seedlings are short, sturdy and sturdy. There are few pests and diseases, high transplant survival rate and rapid seedling growth. After experiments and demonstrations in our province, 35g/m2 anti-aging non-woven fabric was used instead of plastic agricultural film to raise seedlings. The seedlings were short and strong, the number of white roots increased by 10.8%, the stem width increased by 12.5%, and the tillers increased by 52%, and the seedling hardening was completely eliminated. And watering and uncovering work.

2. Non-woven fabrics can be used to cover floating surfaces on the open ground. Use 20-30g/m2 non-woven fabrics to directly cover the borders or plants. It is often used for raising seedlings in winter and spring and overwintering and early spring leafy vegetables. It has the functions of preventing birds from pecking, keeping warm and moisturizing, promoting germination, ensuring full seedlings, promoting rooting and slowing down seedlings after transplanting, and promoting growth. According to a test in Mian County, when green bamboo shoots are covered with 20g/m2 non-woven fabric in early spring, the yield increases by 22.3-66.7% and the output value increases by 106-146%. Onions are covered in early spring and the yield is increased by 75%. When covered with cabbage in early spring, the yield is increased by 43% and the output value is increased by 70%. . For the autumn supply of leafy vegetables and root vegetables, non-woven fabrics can also be used to cover them to prevent frost.

3. Using small sheds or floating surface covering materials in greenhouses or solar greenhouses can not only increase temperature and increase production, but also absorb moisture in the air at night, reduce fog and prevent moisture, and help reduce diseases.

When agricultural non-woven fabrics are used as sunshade materials, dyed non-woven fabrics are usually suspended or covered with sheds on the roof to provide sunshade. Thickness and shade of dyeing affect shading rate. The advantage of non-woven fabrics as a sun-exposed material is that it can not only block part of the sunlight and reduce the temperature under the fabric, but also change the transmitted light from direct sunlight to scattered light, so that the covered crops receive even light, and the light energy utilization rate of the transmitted light is high. high.

Agricultural non-woven fabrics are used as spacer materials and are mainly used for seedlings, lawn cultivation and soilless cultivation. The advantages are that they are breathable and water-permeable, and easy to take root, which is conducive to the cultivation of strong seedlings, and it is easy to start seedlings and not easy to damage the roots. Generally, 20-30g/m2 non-woven fabric is used, nutrient soil is covered on it, and then seedlings are sown on the nutrient soil. When raising seedlings, the seedlings can be pulled up directly or rolled up together with the cloth. There is no need to dig out the seedlings and shovel the seedlings.
