The meltblown nonwoven filtering material for masks is an important material for making disposable masks. The strength of the filter efficiency of disposable masks is mainly reflected by this. Meltblown nonwoven filtering materials for masks are mainly divided into electric electret meltblown cloth and water electret meltblown cloth. The filtering mechanism is divided into mechanical barrier and electrostatic adsorption.

1. The meltblown nonwoven filtering material for masks is waterproof and breathable, and is not afraid of droplets. After making masks, there is no odor and no irritation, and it can effectively isolate harmful particles.

Mechanical barrier:

1) Droplets with a particle size greater than 5um in the air can be blocked by the filter material.

2) When the diameter of the dust is less than 3um, the dust is mechanically intercepted by the fiber layer of the curved channel in the filter material of the mask.

3) When the particle size and air velocity are both large, the particles will be captured due to inertia collision with the fiber. When the particle is small and the flow velocity is low, the particles will be captured by impacting on the fiber due to Brownian motion.

Electrostatic adsorption:

Usually during the production process of the melt-blown fabric, electret treatment is used to make the non-woven cloth carry more static electricity and have an electrostatic adsorption effect. Electrostatic adsorption means that when the fibers of the filter material are charged, the Coulomb force of the charged fibers realizes the capture of dust bacteria and viruses.
